Estate Planning

An estate plan incorporates all the legal documents you need (Trust, Will, Durable Power of Attorney, Health Care Directive, etc.) should you become incapacitated or die. The size or amount of assets you have doesn’t matter. You are never too old or too young to start your planning.

Elder Law

With people living longer, the likelihood of needing long-term care increases. You will want to be prepared to have Medi-Cal cover the cost, but you may not qualify for it if you haven’t planned properly. Elder Law includes estate planning, asset protection planning, and advanced health care directives.

Medi-Cal Planning

Medi-Cal is the government program that pays for long-term care in California for qualified persons. It is critical to plan for long-term care, especially for middle-class seniors who may not qualify for Medi-Cal as the cost of long-term care continues to go up.

Breunig Law works hard to ensure every client receives the quality and respectful service they deserve

Breunig Law provides compassionate, skilled, and experienced services you can trust. We will deliver counseling, drafting, and execution of a well-thought-out estate plan that will protect your assets, support your family’s unique needs, and save you and your family money and stress, or confidently support your estate administration or probate needs.

After a successful career as a corporate attorney in the technology field, I became an advocate for advance estate planning when my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.  When I saw the estate planning and protection tools my parents’ estate planning attorney drafted for them, I was hooked.

As my wife Tina will attest, I get passionate about a lot of things in addition to my work.  It doesn’t matter whether it is drafting a trust, baking sourdough bread, making jams and pickles, puttering in my vegetable garden, cooking a good meal, woodworking, bicycling in the Placer County countryside, or enjoying some play time with our sweet dog Maisie.

What fuels me and my competent staff is to simplify the process, reduce the stress, and ensure that proper estate planning is done in advance whenever possible.  The rest of our time is spent helping others to administer an estate, go through a lengthy probate process, or qualify someone for Medi-Cal funded long term health care.
